  • Together with my colleague, Jennifer Baumeister, I am offering an English language group for adults suffering from anxiety.

Content

 

We introduce core components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (or CBT, for short) for anxiety: 

- How do your thoughts and feelings influence your experiences? How can you interfere with this process?

- Learn about what makes you anxious.

- Learn to challenge thoughts, push yourself out of your comfort zone and experience anxiety with a little more distance and control in a judgement-free environment.

- Learn some basic strategies in overcoming anxiety.

Why group therapy?

- You will meet others with similar experiences.

- Through the other group members begin to reconsider your own fears and behaviors. 

- There is a clear structure, including an end – within the eight week program you will be motivated to maximise your use of the group.

- It will be less expensive than regular, individual therapy.
